    Motor Won't Start

This afternoon I tried to crank the bike using the installed battery with a new set of spark plugs. At first, it just sputtered and popped and died. I held the throttle wide open and cranked it for about 5 seconds with the enrichening circuit closed. Then I returned the throttle to idle, opened the choke, and it fired right up. I think it was just flooded the other day when it wouldn't start. I plan on taking it on a test ride tomorrow if the weather allows to see if it is OK or not. Will advise outcome.

Thanks again for all the help and advice,

      Your SF

Did you have that bike parked on the VJMC show field at Barber? That must have been yours and I was admiring it. Come up and see me!

        Your SF

        Marty,
No we parked in the museum parking lot each day. We and took the tram around to the various venues on Friday and stayed in the museum most of Saturday. Met up with some friends in the RV Park Saturday evening and had dinner with them. Sunday we went in the paddock and watched a race or two before heading home. We had just a super weekend!

I would like to ride up to see you sometime. It would be great to go on a ride together and put a face to a name. PM me and let me know when a good time for you would be and how to get there.

        Thanks for the invite,
        Linwood

          Test Ride Went Well

The bike started right up this morning. I took it out on a 30 or so mile check ride. It really pulls strong but I noticed a slight exhaust popping on deceleration (less popping than before I raise the fuel level). Think I will just ride it for a while like it is and get a plug reading sometime when I can put a load on it, chop the ignition, and pull the plugs on the roadside.

          Thanks again to all,
