    Ignition woes

Would one of you wonderful fellow XJ owners go out and tell me if the engine will turn over when the kill switch is set to off. I suspect the engine will turn over...but the TCI is disabled so you will have no spark. I'm away from my bike at the moment and can't do it myself.

    Thanks!

          Run Stop

Nope XS1100E either. No fire at all with kill switch in stop position. Run, Stop means just that.
There's always a way, figure it out.

            Thanks guys,

That answers that question for me. I was hoping it would be something other than the TCI. I guess not.

              Jon,

Could still be something other than the TCI:

              -Weak Battery

-Corroded connector, (especially the one at the solenoid that boosts the coils during cranking).

              - Bad Ballast resistor.

              -Fuse?

              HTH

              Randy.

P.S. If you want the TCI fixed, PM me.
