Main Jet?
If not the bowl drain, then they look like they are the washers in the main jet tower. They fit snugly in underneath the main jet.-Mike

i found this old thread of TopKats with a cut away of a 78/79 carb. It appears to me that that the tower cap screw over the pilot jet DOES have a washer.
What do you guys think?

Washers
If they are fiber style, they belong under the fuel valves. If you bought K&L fuel valves and needles, they came with thin aluminum washers attached. These would be surplus, but the fiber are much better than the aluminum.mack

mine
are metal washers and are no larger than the tower circumference. Could be that the originals were lost over the years during previous cleanings.mack
