Already lubed up but the snorkels will not move into position.
I'm thinking that I may have had the airbox in a slightly different position? I do know that someone posted a tip that did the trick last year!80 SG

Hey Dean,
Get out your blowdryer and heat them up a bit, that's what makes them more pliable and bendable so you can get them past the mouth/inlet of the carbs. That's what I remember being posted about them.

I've always found the having the upper air box in position firstbut pulled back away from the carbs is required. Then you side the carbs in at an angle with the bells tipped up across the tops of the snorkel till you have them lined up with the intake boots slide the boots in first then push the bells down till they line up with the snorkels, then just articulate the airbox a bit until it slips over the carb bells.mack

Well, turns out that the positioning in the photo was fine, The all important 'tip' of last year was to not be shy about shoving the snorkel down in front of the battery. But that's kinda difficult when those two little screws on the sides of the airbox are still screwed into their spot.
Anyway, all seems to be back together. Now just have to put the bone dry tank on, get some gas and go for a ride down the street if it starts up ok.80 SG

Started right up as if it ran yesterday (it's actually been about a year). Then within 5 or 10 seconds the revs shot way up and I turned the key off right away. It's now 100% dead, with the key doing nothing.
Fuses look fine and I now do not know what to check/do.80 SG

Hey Dean,
Doesn't your bike have the separate main fuse on the other side??
Check your main ignition switch, also the emergency stop/run switch!
Can't remember if you did the Solid ATCO fuse mod or are still running the OEM glass ones!?
