Initially, no. Leave the stock jetting, pilots and main jets then with some riding check the sparkplug burn color before changing anything......patience grasshopper.

The all important question.. What KIND of pod filters.

Very true Tod........if the mount portion of pod filters block off the air jet in rear of carb bells......it'll NEVER run right, if at all. Good call Tod.

Not sure fellas. I purchased them from Amazon . The bike is at my Dads house in his garage or I'd check and see. They slide over the mouth of the carb and are held on with a hose clamp. They don't seem to be blocking anything but I'm really not sure what you are speaking of so it might be. I'm new to this

If you post Trbig their name, he can tell you if they'll work without blocking air jet area of intake bells on carbs. Otherwise, I'd still mount one, then look inside at rear of carb bell for any of pod filter mount blocking off air jet intake.

If there is a lip inside the pod filters...chances are that lip will cover the
air jets...that's no good to get it running good...use the search bar and see
if you can find the pictures of the pods that will block off the air jets...You
can try google to locate those pictures...Good Luck

Or, just look at the tech tips, Mods, Carbs, and the Pod filter threads, and you'll find this image!

This is after you have pulled out the actual filter from the mounting part.

Check out the thread, will show you how to make some velocity stacks to allow them to work and be able to tune.

Thanks TC...See that thread if yours are made like these...You can still use
yours with a little mod here and there...look pretty easy...I decided to stay
with the stock air box...Good Luck
