Last fall I traded my XVZ1300 for an XJ1100 that looked to be in pristine condition. It has been sitting for almost 20 years in a climate controlled garage. It has damage to the tank and one turn signal from something falling against it.


I brought it home and the first thing my wife said is "That one's mine" then walks back in the house...


Yes those are the original miles.


Well after sitting for several more months I cleaned the carbs, replaced all the fluids, new battery, rebuilt the petcocks, changed the tires and replaced the broken turn signal.



This is what she looks like now...

I still need to fix some cosmetic stuff (tank, seat, some surface rust) but she is back on the street, its the smoothest bike I have ever ridden.
