Hindsight comment, motor mounts will be messed with, if nothing more than changing the torque on them. And then you might find your mounts are flat spotted and at idle may shake the bike.
Read elsewhere as to the correct tightening torque.
I really don't know if putting crash bars on mine was the cause of the vibration at idle. But when I have time I plan on pulling my mounts and seeing if I can make some replacements. Looking at my other XS mounts they have visable flat spots and as hindsight I wish I had marked them so I would know if they had rotated before loosening.
Sorry, I don't mean to shift focus.

You had something else going on. Mounting those bars will have no affect whatsoever on the mounts unless they were incorrectly installed.

appearently Polaris makes that tuning hammer.

i could have used one last week.

              polaris with plugged muffler....

4th time i dove into the carb cussing, it occured to me that maybe it wasn't a carb issue.

turns out the engine won't run if the mufflers plugged..

              sound familier, huh greg?

                  Wrong bars?

Well I received my 3pt bars in today and looks like they are not right. The right side bar will have to have spacers as it's shorter than the left side. And both bars will need some tweaking for sure. Here is some pics, tell me what you guys think.

I'll go out to the garage in the morning and get some good close pics of the mounting.

It's dark, raining and cold right now.

Thanks Greg, I appreciate that. The cold and rain hasn't made it down here yet but that same line your getting is headed my way.

                          What they might fit?

Anybody know what these bars might fit? They are close but off. There is a sticker on one- M/C Enterprices brand.

with as close as they are to the mount points, and they are within an 1 1/2"

it looks as tho maybe someone dropped the previous bike in the garage and bent them?

a 4 foot chunck of thick wall square tubing and a bench vise can ussually re-align such things, use a layer or 2 of denim to minimize scuff's on the bars.

but if someone has a loose set,
if they could take pictures showing the measurements from mount to mount.

                            that would be VERY helpful.

                              Bent bars

Yeah I thought about bending/tweaking them to fit. The left side is close and would probably be fairly easy to tweak in place. Now the right bar the holes line up about the same as the left but the legs are shorter as seen in the pics. Steel spacers and longer bolts maybe?? Would that make a weaker mount?

Sorry, forgot. Here's some pics of the mounting. I think once you get the bolts out and put the bars up there it'll be closer than it looks now.

Don't use any spacers, that just looks cobbled.

Here's another set I had I took a pic of to compare to yours.
