seeping front calipers

I rebuilt the front calipers as part of the restore of this E. The caliper bodies were cleaned ultrasonicaly and the recess for the o ring that seals the piston was spotless. I've noticed a small pond under the left side rotor. At first I thought it was just excess cable lube dripping from the speedo connection, but today I got down on my back and looked at everything closely. It appears like the leak is coming from the caliper pistons. The rebuild kits were from "tour max". I did notice at the time of installation that the pistons seemed to slide in and out rather easily compared to the special's I did. Anyone ever experienced this before. I had a heck of a time with the rear master cyclinder rebuild kit as well. Also by "tour max", it took 3 kits before one worked properly.

I think I got mine from Georgefix. If they slid-in too easily, sounds like that seal may be faulty.

Leak

+1 on Georgefix. Considerable resistance sliding piston into caliper should felt.

thats the way the special were. Took some considerable effort to get the pistons in far enough to fit over the rotors. I'm never buying tour max anything again!
