Not in a 1156/1157 bulb configuration. You can definitely find round LED's that you can mount anywhere on your bike.

Like IAN stated....NO! And here's the PROOF!

      192 lumens, 60 leds: 30 white/30 yellow; 1157

      https://www.superbrightleds.com/more...Specifications

      ************************************************** ********

45 LEDS, but only 55 lumens on DRIVING, 220 on Turn/Brake power mode. ~$20.00 ea.

      https://www.superbrightleds.com/more...Specifications

      ************************************************** ********

right angle 1 high power 3watt Cree LED but only on the turn/stop function, and only 129 lumens in white/brake/turn mode...no listing of how bright on running mode.

      https://www.superbrightleds.com/more...#/tab/Overview

      ************************************************** ********

SO...to act as running light all the time, use an 1156 instead loosing the turn signal function, but will be
the max brightness ALL the TIME. This one is rated at 550 lumens TOTAL, but that's 360 degrees around, so would
depend on the reflectivity of the housing, and would need to change the socket or get a special stalk that uses the 1156 socket, and then the $$ for the clear lens cover, and this bulb is $24.95 EACH !

SO...you see that the only real solution to have the brightness you want to be seen by, as well as to use as driving lights to assist you in seeing the road at night....just get the WHOLE AUX LIGHTs ( 1350 Lumens )we showed in the previous posts!

BTW, Standard 55 watt Halogens put out ~880-1300 lumens, but draw over 4 amps !

I use those 90 deg. Ones in my rear turn signals. They work great. Do pay attention to the lumen ratings. Some LEDs are surprisingly dim. Also make sure you get the right color bulb. If it sits behind an amber lens, you MUST use an amber bulb. Same for red. Otherwise, you'll get a fraction of the light through the lens.

I'm now 100% LED on my bike, including the headlight. It was a bit pricey to get all of them though. I also had to wire up the special mod to retain the self-canceling turn signals with LED bulbs, and had to replace the signal and 4-way flashers with LED-compatible ones.

As to your question about using the indicators as driving lights, it won't work. Driving lights are white, and signals are amber. The amber lights are never going to be bright enough to light up the road for visibility.

You can get white/clear lenses for our indicators. The next thing is to find a 90% led bulb that is powerful enough to act as a permanent driving light.
1350 Lumens or thereabouts you say?

Are white turn signals legal there? They are not here.

Hey Al- As an additional resource, check-out the XS UK & Austrslian sites. They have some cool mods that you don't see on our site much (crap weather allows more time for tinkering over-there )

But, I've been down this road already, and probably invested a lot more time than most when looking for 1157 bulbs. I did source a vendor out of Thailand making custom bled arrays for our shop willing to give it a try with hi-power SMD chips. Said it would work great as driving lights. The cost: $1200/bulb. And, that was the discounted price.

Get on ebay and buy some Cree LED driving lights, and be done with it.

Sorry I should have explained. I'm looking at fitting fork indicators to my SF. Changing the amber lens for a white ones. Fitting 90% led bulbs we spoke about and having them as driving lights to go with the headlight that is always on anyway. The indicators on the side of the headlight will stay the same.

Having illumination in the rear is just as-important as being seen from the front. I have 1157 bulbs in the rear (illegal with amber lenses, but I don't care), as-well as these LED panels in my tail light, separated by the brake light inside by a piece of delrin so it does not bleed into the brake light lens. It's a weird feeling having a halo on the rear of your bike. It's super-bright, but not blinding to drivers behind me, as the panels point down onto the license plate (having red led's causes you to lose your license plate light [clear lens on bottom]).

I've got me a plan for the rear lighting. It's the front driving light bulbs thats going to take some sorting.
