          Wow! Flat slides, ehh? Tried those on my 850, and just could not achieve satisfactory street-riding performance. Obviously they're meant for the track (WOT performance).

          Absolutely beautiful bike! I'm diggin' the simple gold & black! Are those "RAASK" rearsets, or custom-made? I'm impressed with the work, yet surprised you stayed with stock rear springs (or are those Progressive)? Interesting rear MC setup, yet caliper and rotor are stock. Looks clean!

              rear sets

              These aren't raas rear sets but do have a set and didn't like the look on this build. The sets are from a 2002 yamaha r1 there factory. A lil modification and spacers with the factory brembo Mc and brake line bolts right up

                  Electronics and wiring

                  The tci is under the tank with fuse block and regulator. Wiring is rerouted between carb 2 and 3 intake boots, battery is under tail section it is a sealed lithium ion battery mounted upsidedown. Ing. Switch is deleted and have one momentary, one spst switch, and a hidden kill switch that is a magnetic contact.

                    To do's

                    Still event finished paint, also have no gauges but am welding in 2 2 inch sight glasses one at base of tank by mount bolt andbone under tank that will be lit up by an led so the fuel will glow to view fuel level. Have to finish headers and install the mikuni rs36's than time to fire her up I guess. Oh and upholstery, new tires yadda yadda... more than happy to share how I did things so if anyone has questions. Thus far I have used only hand tools and an angle grinder to get the bike this far, so if anyone thinks they have to have all sorts of expensive tools to build a bike that's not true. Just alot more time and elbow grease.

                        Great looking bike! What all was involved and how difficult was it to retrofit the R1 triples and forks to the XS11 frame? Was the fork assembly also from a 2002 R1? Thanks, Bob

                            The swap was fairly simple, everything swaps straight over except for the top bearing. That needs to be sourced.
                            And trimming the bearing seals from the R1 to work with the xs bearings and neck.
