Hi Mack, I beleive it's 51Z7 off the top of my noggin but I'll check.
1980 XS1100G "Dolly G" Full Dresser (with a coat of many colors )
    1979 XS1100SF (stock-euro mods planned)
    1984 XV700L Virago (to be hot-modded)
    1983 XJ750MK Midnight Maxim (semi-restored DD)
    1977 XS650D ( patiently awaiting resto)

Sometimes it takes a whole tank of gas before you can think straight.

Service manual says 5IZ7 for a G model, and that's the number that should be stamped on it.
I think I have a loose screw behind the handlebars.

                I was

questioning the pilot air jets not the pilots themselves Brant. I got a set of 1980 carbs in last week that had 132.5 mains and brass floats in them. Never seen that before either. No idea what the bike they came off was like but it did have the 5glz-18 jet needles with the clips set at the richest setting. Must have milage like a dump truck.
Had my SF & LH out for a two day run on the weekend and the SF was getting 42 mpg and the LH about 44. I'm pretty happy with those numbers as we were riding fairly aggressively.

                  Mack,

For U.S. models, the pilot air jets changed to the 185's for the 1980 model year.
