Well
my issue is that I don't see the bikes, I only see the carbs. So if I get a set and they are bastardized, and someone is telling me he has an SG or an SH i want to know the correct parts to replace the crap that was sent to me so the bike will respond as it was intended. Sure I could just clean them and send them back as they were, but the way I figure it, if they worked properly in the first place, they wouldn't have mailed them to me! I have shop manuals for everything but the 1980 G, SG and LG. I've always considered them inferior(transition bikes) but i'm finding that I'm getting alot of them lately so I want to know. If someone wants to mail me a manual for the 1980, I'll stop asking all these stupid questions!mack

You can also download the Yamaha XS1100 Service Repair Manual. There's a supplement in the rear that covers the later model carbs, but as is usually the case I didn't see any mention of the bastardized 80 carbs. Service Repair ManualI think I have a loose screw behind the handlebars.
