How's that aluminum paint holding up on the engine after running it warm?

Serious this time. Here's a down under XS11. Specs are 80SG motor 1196cc stage 11 ported head grafted into 78E carbs and 78E bike. Stock 80SG cams. Hot coils, 4-1, K&N, drilled box and jetted 47.5 - 145. Has all the brake and handling mods too. Rockets to 120mph swiftly. Pulls 11 second quarters no sweat.

Next option is a camgrind with the associated valvetrain mods. Not a big priority though, the rear wheel breaks loose more than enough as is. I've also run stock 78E cams in the same motor and they gave a strong 'kick' from 5500 - 8500, but they won't 'come on' till 3000 and lack the low-midrange response of the 80' cams.

The 80's extra 800 useable revs from 2200 - 3000 made a big difference for everyday riding. XS11's are very scarce down here nowadays. I've only ever seen one other on the road.
