Floats adjusted, choke bb and springs installed
I benched sync using a twist tie
Carbs installed and bike is idling at 2500
Now i have a petcock leaking
Is it possible to rebuild it while still on tank?

You are making progress. Need to sync carbs while running with sync tool. Keep fan in front of engine while adjusting. Out of sync is likely why the high idle is present.

Cannot sync carbs while tank is on. You will need to have a remote fuel source hooked up to carbs or get some long fuel lines and use the tank.

Would not advise rebuilding petcocks while still on tank. The diaphragm o-ring seat in the petcocks should be polished for proper seating. Need to rebuild both petcocks.

I'm glad I could help Paul. You should post a pic of your bike here so everyone can enjoy it. It's a nice one.
