More Room

Your left side cover should have a pouch inside to carry the registration. That may make a little more room.

If you don't have bags, get a tank bag with magnets. You can carry quite a bit in one of those.

I have the original tools and then some others added...so the original tool pouch is torn a little it just becomes to difficult to pack all of the tools back into the tiny compartment so I just leave them in the pannier for easier access...I'll take some pics soon....Most of the time I will be riding with someone who has everything I dont have so that way I am still covered...LOL

Hmmmm.... I actually DO HAVE one of those! That's one of the few OEM pieces my bike actually had when I got it. Might be one of the few things I didn't need to replace from Evil-Bay!

Not necessarily considered a tool, but having a spare key hidden on the bike is a handy item. But don't put it in the tool pouch. Maybe a magnetic hide-a-key holder?

Duct tape it to the frame under the gas tank. You have to remove the tank to get it but thats the point, it takes time to find it. Use a couple layers.
