  • Speedo gear housing

I pulled the front wheel and took it down to have a new tire mounted.
In trying to reinstall the wheel I noticed the notched area on the gear assembly has sheared off the corner.
The notched area is held by the stub on the fork. This keeps the speedo gear housing from rotating on the axle etc.
When I tighten the axle castle nut, the gear housing slips out the notch at the end of the fork. Things then become mis-aligned on the front axle.
I have removed the calipers, fender, fork brace.

The part I am referring to is:

    341-25190-01-00 (GEAR UNIT ASSY )

Is there a way to fix what I have or do I need to find another gear housing ?
    Any and all advice appreciated!

Let me look at what I have. You need the one for the STANDARD, as the Special is different. I MAY be able to repair it if all else fails.

      Ray,

If you have one that would be great.
I am getting one from Andreas but it will take some time.
I could replenish one from you once his arrives.

The bike and owner are both making sad faces during this nice weather.
