I ride 50 miles to work today and the bike starts shuddering at low speeds. I put seafoam in the tank last night and let it sit. I pull into work and look at my fuel filter and it's dry, no fuel is getting to the 1 and 2 carbs. The fuel filter is located right before the line goes to the carbs. I have tools with me and I pulled one of the hoses off the petcock and fuel rushed out. I didn't pull the other hose. You think it's a petcock or octopus?

The front outlet should be for the prime position on the selector. I would use the rear outlet, check to make sure it flows fuel first in the on/res positions. Yes turn off the fuel (fuel tap off position) when done riding the bike.2H7 (79) owned since '89
