I was going by the first post. It stated that the stock springs were progressive and the heavy duty ones were not progressive. Now I don't know??? Does anyone know for sure what the 79 F had as original? Progressive ends or not?79 F full cruiser, stainless brake lines, spade fuses, Accel coils, modded air box w/larger velocity stacks, 750 FD.

My best guess is all of the stock springs are progressive wound. My XS650 has them, too.Marty (in Mississippi)

Thanks for clearing that up. I'm looking forward to seeing how it rides with the heavy duties.79 F full cruiser, stainless brake lines, spade fuses, Accel coils, modded air box w/larger velocity stacks, 750 FD.

I just opened mine up and the springs were wound tighter at the top. I'm the 2nd owner. My findings seem to mimic what others have found.XS1100F TKAT fork brace Stock suspension. Vetter Fairing. Pingel Petcocks. Geezer voltage regulator
