    its hard to tell from the pictures, but are the rims drilled? it does look pretty well put together. i see its for sale, do you know what he was asking?

        I like it! Some minor details I'd change on it like the clutch cover, dangling brake lines, etc. Very sharp!

          I would question the wisdom of drilling the wheel spokes though......
          XS1100F 1980 European model. Standard. Dyna coils. Iridium plugs. XS750 final drive (sometimes). Micron fork brace. Progressive front springs. Geezer regulator/rectifier. Stainless 4 into 2 exhaust. Auto CCT (Venturer 1300) SOLD. New project now on the go. 1980 European model.

              It has been done and done, and done again. The XS650 wears the same wheels and is extremely popular with customizers. I'm in your camp on this, but it has been done so much that if it was unsafe, we would know about it by now.
