Most motorcycle shops that have a service department that's been there a while will probably have some. Yamaha wasn't the only bike to use these, (Jaguar cars did as well) but I would bring a set of calipers with you to measure the shim. There is also a 29.5mm shim out there that you can't look at and tell the difference. You can't even hold it next to a 29mm and tell. It just won't..... quite... fit... in that bucket.

There used to be a shim library out there that Maximan donated when he left. Anyone seen/heard from it in a while? Last I remember, going off a terrible memory and often wrong, seems I remember Kat sending it to Kurt (Prometheus) up in Washington? He doesn't post here any more, but a lot happened during that time and I wasn't around here. Not trying to scratch up any wounds at all.. just asking about the shim library.
Try your hardest to be the kind of person your dog thinks you are.

You can live to be 100, as long as you give up everything that would make you want to live to be 100!

Nothing left of the one cody left except the shim sizes nobody needs anymore. Not sure where that set ended up as I sent it off to another member when I left as mod. Prom donated his own set and it is no longer available.

          Shims

I had three spare heads here and just went through them. The third one of course had what you needed. PM me your address and I'll send a 265 and 270 to you.

I can check and see what I have in my "spare" bin. I'm at work today, but if I can help, let me know via pm.
