  • Progressive 412-4214 Shocks- Heavy Duty?

I have a pair of Progressive 412-4214. How do I know if they are the Heavy Duty version? Not sure yet if I want to swap these in from the CB1000 air shocks I'm using that are probably empty of oil and air, lol.

Rebuild the air shocks. They ride and handle better than anything else you could put on there in my opinion. I switched from XJ air shocks to regular Standard shocks and I thought my kidneys were gonna fall out on the road.

That part number is the heavy-duty version for an XS11; the 'standard' version would be a 412 4207. Unless you weigh more than 250 lbs or ride two-up a lot, they'll be too stiff....

You can get replacement springs from Progressive, it's not a huge deal to change them if you fab a tool to disassemble the shock.

Im going to experiment with some cb900 air shocks this winter. I do like the idea of keeping my kidneys happy too
