I have a pair of Progressive 412-4214. How do I know if they are the Heavy Duty version? Not sure yet if I want to swap these in from the CB1000 air shocks I'm using that are probably empty of oil and air, lol.

That part number is the heavy-duty version for an XS11; the 'standard' version would be a 412 4207. Unless you weigh more than 250 lbs or ride two-up a lot, they'll be too stiff....
You can get replacement springs from Progressive, it's not a huge deal to change them if you fab a tool to disassemble the shock.Fast, Cheap, Reliable... Pick any two
