help with right mirror, stripped out

I stripped the hole out (long story short),....what's the best fix? They don't make this part anymore and I can't find on ebay at the moment. I'm thinking JB Weld,...but then getting it out could be a challenge if I even need to.

    Suggestions?

I've fixed one where the threads were all wallowed out by drilling and tap some 8-32 threads in the side of the MC and use 2 set screws to hold the mirror in place. It worked just fine....

      That's ingenuity!

I found one on ebay for a 78 for $12. All I need is the metal piece, don;t care about the actul master cylinder. Think 78 and 79 are the same? Looks the same.

I have a replacement for mine coming from ebay land, when I confirm a good fit my current master will be available.

Did you get one for a Special? It depends on which bars you are using.

If you are using the original buck horn bars you'll need one for a Special, if you've gone to the flatter bars you'll need one for a Standard.

              The mounting angles are different.
