That stuff used to have tetraethyl lead in it. That is not something you want in contact with your skin.
No worse than the paint chips you nibbled on when young, Marty. Ahhh... Leaded gas. Nothing smells quite as good coming out the tailpipe, does it? lol.
As for the tetraethyl lead.. along with many other things... They only cause cancer in the state of California, so most of us will be just fine. 3phase is screwed though...
Try your hardest to be the kind of person your dog thinks you are.
You can live to be 100, as long as you give up everything that would make you want to live to be 100!

I still have an airgun with a siphon tube for cleaning parts with gasoline.
I quit using gas for a solvent a long time ago -- probably way too late. Use a couple of gallons of deodorized kerosene in a large plastic storage tub with about a half gallon of water on the bottom. The kerosene floats so after cleaning stuff so just let it stand overnight to let the dirt and grit settle into the water.
Pour off the kerosene back into a sealed container until the next time; dirty water can go into a shallow plastic tray lined with newspaper. Leave the tray in the sun until the water evaporates and most of the dirt and gunk will be left on the newspaper so it's easy to clean up.
