You couldn't do that if you coasted downhill both ways on your 11!
Oh, btw... It will still average 43 WOT...mach 2....
One thing I DO know about an 11...
The faster you go, the more fuel you consume, and the more oil you consume.
Fact of life...
Plus... I got a 6 gl tank to boot.Greg

Best part though...after 20,000 miles... no warranty work needed.
For all the maintenance... I do it, and it's actually one of the easiest bikes I've ever experienced to do things like wheel removal, brakes, oil changes, air filter swaps...
Hey, even when I installed my Rostra cruise control, I found that it's one of the easiest bikes to do.
WAY easier than BMW's.
But, once you go FI...you don't ever miss finicky carbs again.'82 XJ1100J Maxim (has been sold.)

Haven't touched my carbs in 3 years. Oh, except when I adjusted my valves a couple months ago. Mix adjust and resync. ( Didn't count any turns so don't ask turn counters)Greg

Yes, no payments...this is true. Ya got me there.
Good thing is, mine's almost paid for. Along with all the many farkles I've added.
Looking forward to it paying off, and around 2 years early.
So far, so good. No problems after 20,000 miles.
Took me a while to get everything setup like I wanted, but now it's a great long hauler. The right seat was the toughest to figure out.
Best part, though... it's consistent. With FI, it's never hard to start.
Plus, I love it's electrically adjustable windscreen. Really helps to be able to lower it for air, or raise it for turnpikes.
Electronic CC is sweet, too. Heated grips in the winter...'82 XJ1100J Maxim (has been sold.)
