There's a Moto Guzzi dealer in town that rents bikes. I might have to give the Stelvio a serious tryout.

Alot of ways one can go...I'd also like the Super Tenere...its quite capable on or off the roads...OFC we're not talking mud...sand and rock climbing here... but it still can tackle off the pavement quite well...

There is no switch to turn off ABS. How do you drive a steep downgrade on a forest service gravel road? I'm not a dirt rider, but I'm not sure about that.

Yes there is, it's strange, something like putting it on the center stand and in gear up to 20mph and it starts blinking..

You don't need to turn it off though, you'd be surprised how well it works in Dirt. It's smart enough to allow some wheel locking/pulsing and many have been surprised.

On a side note- if you are doing any REAL off roading, get a REAL off road bike, if you treat this like a dirt bike, you'll get in trouble... although, many like to try.

Could you have two in one by simply switching the rear wheels ?

Super Tenere.............just cause of the fact that the Venturer/Honda ST are starting occassionally to become cumbersome to wrestle around in tight situations.
