  • Syncing Carbs

    Hello All

Does anyone know if there is a carb syncing process outlined on this forum? I have a sync pro that was loaned to me but I am not sure on a couple of things. Here are some of my questions.

To calibrate the tool Do I connect the sync tool to the 3rd carb manifold boot or the second?

after calibration do I connect the sync tool to the carb bodies or the carb manifolds?

    Thanks

    Carb Sync

    This link should help:

If the type of sync tool that you have requires calibration to start the process, you would normally have all four hoses hooked together and calibrate them all to each other from one vacuum port off of any carburetor.

It's best to use a constant vacuum source to calibrate, I use a hand vacuum pump. This will also make you aware of any leaks if there are any and correct.

When you calibrate it's not as important that the gauges read accurately as it is that they all read the same under the same vacuum.

The gauges need to be connected to the boots. Only one carb, (#2) has a vacuum connection and it is ported
