Looks like I joined this group just in time! It sounds like I'll need one for my F. What is the price on these?

when you want something bad enough, don't let anything stand in your way, and don't take "no" for an answer. EVER

brace yourself
My buddy, D.P. Larmee has one on his XS1100 and raved enough about it that I'd like one for mine.I am a rhinoceros and my skin is three feet thick.

The Tkat fork brace is the single best upgrade you can add to improve the handling of the XS. Following that, stainless-steel brake lines to replace the 20+ year old rubber lines, then new shocks. (Maybe the shocks 2nd...pretty even tie.) Follow that up with new fork springs, probably progressive rate units from Progessive or Hagon. Total investment will be around $500.00 - $600.00, worth every penny in better handling, reliability and ride comfort.
Tkat Fork Brace = $85.00 (from Tkat, more from Merriman Cycle)
Progressive fork springs = $125.00 (installed)
SS brake lines = $85.00 - $125.00
New shocks = $100.00 - $250.00Jerry Fields
