    That's because there's almost nothing to wear out or go wrong with those grips. They just work, sort of like a bowling ball.

    I wonder if all grips should be changed or recycled like tires even if they've just been sitting on a shelf and never been mounted on the handlebars. After all, it would be very dangerous and could cost lives if an old, hardened rubber grip failed or caused your hand to slip off the handlebar while you're riding.

      My XS650 still wears its original grips. They may be even more durable than a bowling ball. They still look new.

        My F still has the original grips. They had a split in one, so I used some black silicone tape to firm them up, as I didn't want to get rid of original stuff. I added a bit of size to them, also, as I seem to have sorta big hands.

            I just put some new grips on mine, the original grips were cracking and a bit spongy, also very dirty making my hands filthy after riding.. this is a site I am a big fan of, they have an incredible selection of grips/bars/lights/etc

            I purchased 2 sets, one brown pair and one black pair, the brown have a really awesome vintage look I absolutely love, and are super comfortable, the others I never put on but they look amazing! And have a similar feel to my stock grips

                    I have switched to the Kuryakyn Isolator Grips in black. They are not stock or stock like but I think comfort and handling take precedence unless creating a museum resto.
