Thanks again for the input. In all fairness, I have Brant's phone number if I get in a bind and I am confident all I need to do is call for help. I got the carbs and petcocks cleaned again. I think I got it right this time. I have clear gas line so I can see the gas flow from the tank to the carbs. My filters now show about 3/4 and all was right in the universe, until I pulled the right side exhaust to check out an exhaust leak. The muffler broke off just at the slip on joint. I have tacked it back together to maintain alignment, then spent the afternoon grinding old material off to see what I'm dealing with. So far I have brass brazing, and maybe some steel welding rod, and what appears to be wire feed patching and arc welding spatter. It is an absolute mess and I might be money ahead to just look for a replacement right side. Another half hour of grinding/cleaning will tell me more.Last edited by Clyde K.; 06-15-2014, 08:05 PM.Gunnery Sergeant, USMC (Retired), (A gung ho, lifer, Devil Dog) Semper Fidelis
