If no one has greased the brake lever in 30 years, you may have a problem with getting it to take grease. If, after applying the grease gun, and having it resist delivering grease, you will be unhappy to find that you will need to take the lever off, the Zerk out, the shaft out and find the small hole in the shaft that has caked crud in it. Drill the crud out, put the Zerk back in, make sure you can get grease through the passage, clean the inside of the tube the shaft rides in, put the shaft back in, the lever back on, and grease it up.
Fun, huh?
The up side is that if you give it a shot once a year, you will never have to take it apart again.
