    Hello All,

    Here is the update...

The clicking noise that I heard is actually the pick up coil.

I have taken off the cable and checked the OHM's, etc. Seems to be ok. When I reattached it, it seemed quieted, but definately still there.

Any Ideas? Has anyone heard of this before?

Other then ehis problem, bike is running great, I have already put about 500 miles on it with out incident.

It is still a pain to get started, if it has sat for a few hours, it needs a squirt of started fluid. I am hoping that once I convince the pick up coil to stop the clicking sound, I can get the timing adjusted which will solve the starting problem.

Thanks again for all the help,

    Matt

Where is the vacuum hose hooked up to? It should be hooked to the #2 carb not to the intake boot.

Maybe this will help. The black hose goes to the Octupus, the gray hose to the advance unit.

            WOO HOO!

            Thank you all.

I changed the vacuum advance hose to the correct place (and moved the octopus to its correct place) and the babe started right up, runs GREAT.

Ok, now I know what you mean by ripping the arms off.

Thanks for all your help, especially the picture!
