I believe I found the oil leak location just now: a stripped-out oil pan cap screw near the drain bolt. The screw is not stripped, the hole is. I ran a tap through it, a slightly longer bolt and threw some Gasket sealer on the threads and screw head. No leaks after changing the oil and running it.
However, I did find a much BIGGER leak in my garage this morning before fixing that leak. HUGE puddle of oil right in the middle of the bike. WTF!!! Yesterday, before I left for work I checked the sight glass and saw no oil. So, I put about another 3/4 quart in the bike till it showed in the sight glass. Weird, as I assumed there was enough oil in there. Oh well. Got to work, put bike on center stand. Went out and checked the bike, huge oil puddle. Looked at sight glass, and it was full. Over-filled it? Got home and parked it. This morning was same result. I realized that the oil was coming from the crankcase overfill tube. So, why the oil did not show in the window despite being on the centerstand? Who knows. New oil at correct level now, with no leaks so far . . .
