  • timing at 5200

Well, I got the mongrel runnin, and when checking the timing at 5200, i went way past the book's 38 degrees...

is it the springs on the governor that are bad then? or anyone got another idea?

also, i did the test with the vacum line attached?

Thanks in advance for your input..

    Hey Wags!
    Vacuum disconnected and plugged.

Isn't the Special supposed to be 31 degrees?

My mistake. Technical bulletin M79-018 states the XS1100SF timing should be 36 degrees, not 31 as stated in the manual, at 5,400 RPM.
