I'm thinking about getting a spare motor and building it to swap into my XS, I saw all the posts about all the overbore kits and will probably go with the nicer Wiseco forged pistons as I may be putting a turbo/converting to fuel injection on the bike eventually.
Only camshaft's I could find were for the ones made by Megacycle, does anyone have any experience with these? I have read they can add incredible midrange torque.
Also, is there a legitimate safe limit to rev these motors out to? The build would most likely be stock crank and rods, big bore forged pistons, cams with springs/retainers/etc. Any guesses what a safe rev limit would be?
Also, any other precautions you guys can think of? Obviously oil cooler, has anyone ever made a custom cylinder block with larger air fins/etc. like they do for the GS for the really big bore kits? Any info or suggestions would be much appreciated
