    Slide diaphragm conditioner?

Working on some carbs tonight no pin holes in the diaphragms but feel a little stiff. Has anyone ever used any type of conditioner on them like an armor all?

Would not apply anything to them. They'll work just fine.

I concur with Motoman. Nothing will be fine. You can put baby oil on them if you wish. It will condition vinyl and rubber if you keep using it.

If anything, I would go with a dab of brake fluid rather than an armour-all type product. Stay away from any sort of grease on rubber.

It is cold out and rubber is stiff. Other than warmer temperatures, they don't need any help.

A little 303 Aerospace protectant wouldn't hurt on the original diaphragms.

On my new diaphragms, I used a little silicone grease around the edge where the bulb fits into the groove.
Also I burnished the sharp edge, on the inside top of the carb body, that the diaphragm contacts. That's the place my old diaphragms had pin holes.

+1 on the 303Aerospace re-juvinate and conditioner!.........you;ll never get near another Armoural product!

For this app. with fuel fumes continuious presence, doubtfull they'd be any real effect for any gained durability. The OEM diaphrams are of a silk material which are then coated.
