I have a pinhole leak on my muffler. What can I use to patch it? JB Weld? Ideas?

Depends on how hot it gets. I used it to patch the oil screens in the bottom of XS650s, had a temp dip stick so I know it will stand up to oil and 250°+. Checked it at 5K and 10K, good. Funny, many said it would melt. I figure if the oil gets hot enough to melt JB Weld you have most likely holed your piston/s. Oh, I also used it to put a cylinder fin back on, held fast.76 XS650 C ROADSTER

Before replacing my left-side exhaust with a COMPLETE new OEM left side which included the already inserted gaskets, clamps and heat shield, just wire-feed spot welded the pinholes. Unseen, as they all were on the underside, and the short heat time spot welding kept heat from damaging the chrome around the spot welds.
1500degrees to breakdown chrome happened quickly with just the spot welds, so any grinding prior isn't necessary. Hit the spots with Duplicolors Hi-Temp silver to avoid any rust.
