Rear Brake Spring

Hello

I have been rebuilding my 79 Standard and I am having the worst time trying to figure out the Rear Brake Lever Spring. I have looked at the microfiche for my model but it dosen't help one bit. I can't seem to install this thing so there is tension on the lever. In other words, it dosen't spring back like it should. The spring must connect onto the frame somehow but i can't seem to get it to work. Can someone post a picture for reference.

The first picture shows the spring wrapped around the pivot and you can see the hook on the spring over the mechanism.
The second shows the long tang hooked under the rear footrest bracket.
It's abit of a fiddle to get right at first but once you've done it you'll get the hang of it.
