  • Mikes XS parts

Has anyone had any experience using the choke plunger dust seals and throttle plate screws that Mike's sells. They are for BS 34 mikuni's on the 650's? Will they fit an 1100? When I asked their tech if they would work the answer I got was "they're only guarenteed to fit 650's". Without stating the obvious I know that they are only guarenteed for the 650's, so whats the verdict do you think they will fit the BS 34 that's on the 1100? Better yet if they won't work where can I source them at a reasonable price. That should be the last piece of the puzzle to get my carbs back together.

I would assume that all the 34s would be the same but thats just a guess. Have you looked at boats.net yet?

Or go here and compare part numbers for the carbs,

Mike's is good with all other stuff. All Yamaha.

        I would trust the parts.

Mikes has always focused on the XS650 stuff. Not shocking they will not comment on if the 650 stuff works on an 1100. Realistically, their quality of parts has been suffering of late. I would make sure it comes from the same manufacturer as other sources before buying. JMHO.

I bought some carb gaskets from Mikes XS and didn't like them and had to change them out.

The XS650 and XS1100 both have Mikuni BS34 carburetors. They are not the same. The Mike's XS throttle plate screws will work. I can't answer for the choke plunger seal, but it will probably fit.
