i have been wanting to repaint my engine for a while now, so i figured i would give it a try. i took the half arssed, on a budget, not wanting to take the bike apart route. so i did alot of taping and and took my time to make sure the engine was as clean as be and degreased. i started with letting the engine warm up a little, then applied high heet primer, then three coats of the matte black engine paint. once the paint had dried i started the bike and ran it at idle for about 15min. to help to bake the paint. i then took some sandpaper and sanded the paint off of the fins. i think it turned out pretty good, considering that it is a rattle can job, without taking out the engine.
this is the before.
