'80 and later models had a raised shoulder on idle mix screw to keep that from happening(shoulder seats before tip).The following are Yamaha part numbers for carburetor main nozzle and needles broken down for all years of the XS and XJ models. I included the pilot screw number (the idle mix screw everyone breaks the tip on) on earlier models but the later models do not show it in the microfiche... I assume they are the same throughout but have no evidence of that.
