Ok in the first pic I would guess it is a space alien. The second and third pics must be of it digesting a carb. Thinking I will have to guard my bike against aliens.
The last two pics may be of the carnage after the fact and the screwdriver you used to fend them off with.
Just kidding as I have never seen a unit like what you show pics of, even though I imagine it is one of them sparkly ultrasonic units.

    2-78 XS1100 E Best bike Ever
80 XS 1100 SG Big bore kit but not fully running yet.
Couple of more parts bikes of which 2 more will live!

I'd been wanting to get one ever since they came out (10yrs?) Went way too long since my last carb rebuild, when I would use the $25-30 gallon of Berryman's Chem-Dip ~~ waiting to get the ultrasonic cleaner to do the rebuild and carb clean. Did get a fresh gallon of the Chem-Dip, for some maybe stubborn areas. I couldn't find the thread, but I remember couple years back, one of the XSers was using the ultrasonic for the first time, and was complaining that it wasn't any good; that he had run a carb body through 3 cycles (8 minutes per, on the longest cycle). Then he came on with another post , saying "I take it all back; 4th cycle made carb look brand new, inside and out.........." . Yeah, I'm happy with what it's done to the first carb body; one of the reasons I absolutely had to have it ~~ I figured it would get a bit of crud out from the pilot jet to make it easier, before one would try to get it out. I'll also take a medicine dropper, and give a good dose to saturate the jet down in it's threaded hole, with the Chem-Dip; I bought a new special, perfect fit screwdriver from Snap-On for that jet head slot, that will never be used for anything except the pilot jet(s).
