congrats on your new plates, funny thing is,here in New York I checked on historical plates for the XS and registration would be a little less, but insurance would go up alittle. So I stayed with regular plates. There reasoning behind it was,With regular insurance you get valued price of the bike, and with historical insurance(and in N.Y. you have to have historical insurance with historical plates) you get agreed apond value with a minumum $5000. value.I don't get it?FOXS-XS11SG

Thanks Courtney & Cuda for your comments. I am currently trying to decide what to do about mine here in Ontario.
Last year for mandatory basic minimum( liability and medical limited to $50,000) was $731 this year same coverage is $941
my insutance agent has offered Vintage coverage which includes agreed replacement value BUT restricted to rallies and parades to a MAX of 2000km
(about 1200 miles) for $560.
Without a wife to sell and I need both arms and legs to ride the damn thing
I feel cornered. If the lottery does not come in soon I am screwed

Hey MaximPhil,
Do you have another regular vehicle?? Are you still working, and therefore riding your bike to work? From what Courtney has stated and done, the collector plates sounds like the way to go.
Besides, with your FREE health insurance, you should have lots of $$ for your bike insurance! I have to pay ~$50 month, that's around $600 right there.
Hope you're able to see your way thru to keep and enjoy your bike!
