the rim i am getting is off of a xs850, would it have the same bracket that i need, to make the switch to the 16.

if the new wheel is for your hardtail there's no worries; you can cut'n'weld to make the bracket just what it needs to be.

Yep it is for the hard tail. That's what I was thinking about doing anyway. I know with the tools that I have an little bit imagination I can make it work somehow.

would there be much of a hight difference between the 17 and 16.
