Okay, trying to research to see what's available to put in the SG.
Obviously any stock 1100 coil will work (1.5ohms), (81's are 3ohms, so jumper out the ballast resistor).
Are there any other yamaha or other brand stockers that may work/fit?
Been looking at the dyna or accel aftermarket ones, but new ones are way too much for my budget.
So, been looking on ebay for some used ones and I'm trying to figure out which ones are compatable.
I've seen that Harley's also use the Dyna's, but since they are v-twins and have only 2 plugs instead of 4 can I use 2 of them for my bike?
I'm still trying to figure these dyna's out. They've got many different colors and I'm not sure if that's part of their specifications, or just styling.
Example, the green ones are 3.0, but i've also seen some black 3.0's too.
On most pics I've seen, the ohmage is right on the spine of the coil, so that helps, but will both secondary posts fire together at the same time?
(wait, don't answer that... of course they have to both fire, when would one fire and the other not, there's only one primary...)
