  • XJ11 fork seal replacement

    Happy almost spring!

I'm about to do the front fork oil seal replacement as the left seal has ruptured. I bought a pair of the red seals Chacal sells and am wondering if there is any advice for procedure with the XJ11 I need to be aware of. I looked around for a step by step guide for dummies but didn't strike gold. Any nice pictorial for it you might know of or suggestions to save me confusion or time without cutting quality corners?

    Thanks,

    Gary

WooHoo! Yup, I missed it! Thanks for pointing it out, that's just exactly the info I need. Wish I had one of those junk trees to use in my vise but I'll have to make do without.

      Cheers!

kind of a stupid question, but how do you know if the fork seals need to be replaced. I can guess oil squirting out of the forks is one indicator, but is there any other symptom of worn out seals?
