    Look at the picture closely. The package has the part number on it. J38-24161-00-00 is the new number. I believe that is the same badge you can buy for less than $17.

        Could be, says NOS and looks to be bright gold, but Yamaha ship date may be on the package to help know, would be worth asking sell before buying

            The ones I bought are bright gold. The shade may not precisely match the original. I chose to leave them in the opaque bag.

                Marty, the one I bought is also still in the opaque package as I was lucky enough to find a like new one at a local salvage yard. I thought I had found two other like new ones back in September on a wrecked LH only to realize that they were silver/chrome when I got them off the tank and out in the daylight, decided that for $5 I would buy them anyway.
