    New LED Headlights

    New LED headlights made by Truck Light. They are street legal. Haven't found a price yet though. They have both 7" round and 5"x7" in H4.

            $301.75 for the 7" round on Amazon. I can see plenty well without it.

              $219 at my price from NAPA. Still too derned expensive. But down considerably from almost $500 a year ago.
              Who knows, another year from now they just might be affordable to more than just the military

                I agree, its too rich for my blood, but some have more funds than I do and it can't really get much more plug and play than that. Plus the power savings would be huge!

                  LED last a very long time however they do fail sometimes. Does this headlight use a "bulb" or will one have to buy a complete unit

                    With the loss of night vision that comes to persons of my age I couldn't see well enough to drive in the dark even with one.

                      It is a whole 1 piece unit, with a 3 year warranty. No bulb.

                              Would love it if it worked, but I don't know.

                              The problem I see is that you are taking a light that is very has vert directional light output (the LEDs) and trying to put them in a housing designed for an omni-directional light source. It could work, but I wouldn't pit too much hope in it.
