PS. The enrichener may be plugged in the float bowl bottoms (common problem).

Have you changed the oil to a winter visocity? 20W50 is way too thick for temps that cold. It will lug the engine down and make it hard to start.

I use it after it starts just to keep the RPMs up a little until the motor warms up.

        None in the box.

Will check that out if I cant figure out anything else without taking the carbs apart again.

Your best bet would be to get, or download, a manual, which gives you all the information that you are seeking.

'Bug is right; when temps get to 40 or less, Yamaha recommends switching to a 10W-40 oil. The only caveat to this is if you have a big temp swing during the day; they don't recommend this weight if temps are above 60F.

You might also try putting a cover over the bike and putting a light under it to help keep the bike warm...

I have not yet switched oil from 20W50 to 10W40 on mine over the winter. Now I do not ride every day or often at all below 50 deg outside. But I have started and ridden in 30-40 deg weather without the engine fighting me at all on start-up. But then, mine is in an enclosed but unheated garage.

I have not switched oils yet this year and when I start it up in the morning from the garage when it has been in the 20's-30's it starts just fine, but when I start it after work and it has been outside all day and it Is In the 30's-40's then it is a little more difficult!

Just changed out the oil. Will see how it is tomorrow. Today it was 50 when I went to work and it started just fine. It was 42 by the time I got off and wouldnt start. I waited a few hours for it to hit 48 and it fired right off.
