  • Brake/Oil Light

So a few months ago i replaced all my lights with LEDs. Not surprisingly my brake/oil light has been on ever since. I'm sure because the brake light doesn't pull enough amps. Does anyone know how to bypass the checker unit for the brake circuit?

I remember seeing something about jumping the blue and blue/yellow wires at the unit. If this bypasses the brake checker I would just remove those pins. Want that oil light off, but then again maybe I'll miss it when it's gone.

This is a different question, but does anyone know a good location to mount an oil temp sensor?

        Wiring Bypass:

Light Checker Unit : Unplug unit and connect blu and blu/yel together at the harness plug.

Works like a champ. I wired in one of those BACK-OFF Safety Modules that flash the brake light fast five times to steady on, or it can be wired to flash fast three times to steady on for five seconds and keep repeating. I wired in a double throw switch so I can select one of the two. It did cause the oil/tail/brake light to blink randomly. Now I don't have the oil/tail/brake sending me Morse code.
